Transportation Program

Dear Parents,

As we communicated at the beginning of the school year, BGCN is now managing transportation services from several additional schools. These changes come as Noblesville Schools, who has provided free transportation from their schools to the Club for many years, is no longer able to continue the same level of support due to bus routing times with their new adjusted school day.

This new transportation responsibility comes with a significant operation cost, approximately $165,000 a year. Our leadership team is exploring several funding options with the goal of minimizing the impact on families. However, we must also ask Club members to share in providing this service.

Starting with the second semester, Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville will charge a transportation fee for members who ride a bus to the Club after school. A limited number of seats will be available from each school and will be on a first come first serve basis. A process for registration and payment will be in place and open for parents to utilize mid-November. The fees will be as follows: $75 each for child one and two and $50 for child three and each remaining child.

The date, time, and website information for registration for the transportation program will be communicated to you in advance. Information will be shared through text message, website, social media, and flyers.

If you would like to apply for a reduced rate, please fill out the paperwork from the front counter and submit it by Friday, November 1st so that we can process your application in advance. All required documentation must be provided. We will also be open special hours Saturday, November 2nd from 9-11am specifically to process reduced rate applications. Reduced rate applications received after November 2nd are not guaranteed to be ready before the registration process goes live.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we assume the responsibility of providing additional transportation services for children after school. Please know that our leadership team is working hard on your behalf to meet all the funding needs of the Club so that we are able to continue to provide a welcoming, safe and affordable after school experience.

12. Why am I being charged when my child rides one of the Noblesville Schools’ buses to the Club?

This new transportation responsibility for the Club comes with a significant operating cost and we must ask all Club members to share in providing this service. All students who ride a bus to the Club must be a part of the Transportation Program. Due to bus routing times with their new adjusted school day, Noblesville Schools unfortunately doesn’t have the capacity to maintain their standard bus service and provide the same level of assistance to BGCN as in the past. However, in an effort to support parents, the Club and the Schools are working together to provide transportation from each school to the Club. Please note that this fee is being charged by the Boys & Girls Club, not Noblesville Schools.
