Frequently Asked Questions
Camp Crosser Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program
When a child becomes too old to be a camper, we hope he or she seeks to develop leadership skills while still experiencing Camp Crosser through our Counselor-in-Training Program. This program is designed for members between the ages of 14 and 16 by June 1 who are interested in growing as a leader while still experiencing Camp's fun.
The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program focuses on areas of leadership skills, conflict resolution, child development and group dynamics. Development and knowledge in these areas will foster growth in ability to be a great leader and counselor. The Club Staff will evaluate CITs at the end of their sessions, which could assist them in gaining a staff position in the future. The CIT program accepts participants who are club members and costs a weekly fee of $50.
Applying to be a CIT
CIT applicants must be ages 14-16 and should have in interest in working with children and possess a strong work ethic, flexibility, maturity, and the ability to have fun. Due to the competitive nature of the program and few available spots, applications are important and help determine the applicants suitability for the program.
